Hasu Club

The Funding, for the Creation of a Diverse and Inclusive Society, through the contributions of small amounts from member employees’ salaries.

What is the “Hasu Club”?

The Hasu Club is a volunteer group established in 1991 due to the initiative of Fuji Xerox (currently known as FUJIFILM Business Innovation Co., Ltd.) employees. A fraction (“Hasu” in Japanese) from the salaries and bonuses of employees, which is less than 100 yen with additional amounts that were being pledged by individuals who would like to donate more, to the Hasu Club.

As of March 2022, there are 3,670 members. Every year, the funds are used for donations to 60 NPOs doing social welfare, nature conservation, and support for disaster resiliency. In addition to the donations, members also plan and engage in different volunteer events to undertake in grassroot activities in hopes with addressing social issues. Through these activities, members gain experience and connections that transcend the boundaries of their company’s operations, thereby contributing to the development of human resources with diverse perspectives.

Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives

The Hasu Club supports people who take initiatives for a society where everyone can live comfortably. So far, we have organized TRP tours, study sessions and other events to make LGBTQ accessible to the public.

Also, we’ve been making efforts to align our activities with the SDGs and D&I perspectives. This is to entice more members in joining our activities.

By participating in the TRP this year, we will promote our activities further by letting more people know about the activities and echoing the real voices of the LGBTQ members in workplaces.
